The Iranian Foreign Ministry has turned down the statement released by the UN's Security Council which condemned the statements earlier spelled out by Iranian President Ahmadi Nijad against Israel. The Iranian Foreign Ministry described the statement as 'an unacceptable statement', and said it was based on a proposal presented by Israel to distract attention from its heinous crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories. 'Realization of durable peace in Palestine should be based on compliance to justice, putting an end to the Israel occupation of the Palestinian territories, the return of all Palestinian refugees to their homeland, as well as the establishment of a democratic Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital', said the statement released by the Iranian Foreign Ministry. Confirming Iran's adherence to the UN's convention, the statement said Iran would never resort to fore or threats against any other country. The statement expressed sorrow for the failure of the UN's Security Council to take deterrent measures against Saddam Hussein of Iraq when he decided to launch a war against Iran, and also for its failure to take measures against the continuous threats of Israel and some permanent members of the UN's Security Council against Iran.
