Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadi Nijad will arrive in Syria on Jan 20, during which he will have talks with his Syrian Counterpart Bashar al-Assad on the bilateral relations between the two countries, and other regional and international issues. It is worth mentioning that the visit will be Ahmadi Nijad's first visit to Damascus. The visit is considered as an important visit because it comes after the American and European threat to take the issue of the Iranian nuclear program to the UN Security Council.
