The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has highlighted the importance of soup, a high source of proteins, vitamins, and dietary fibre, as a staple food during Ramadan. To promote healthy eating habits, the SFDA recommended making soup at home using natural ingredients such as oats, lentils, groats, fresh vegetables, and meat and seasoning it with thyme, turmeric, ginger, garlic, and lemon instead of using artificial powders. The SFDA cautioned against consuming excessive amounts of instant soup due to its high salt and preservative content.
