JEDDAH — The board of directors of Okaz Organization for Press and Publications met on Saturday and discussed the organization's performance during the quarter ending on March 31, 2017. The board, under its chairman, Abdullah Saleh Kamel, reviewed the efforts being made to increase revenue and reduce expenditure under new challenges and developments in the media field. The members brainstormed what should be done to face the present changes in the media market in a manner that would best preserve the organization's gains and further enhance its reach. The board discussed a number of other matters pertaining to the goals and objectives of the organization. It discussed the organization's future and strategy as well as its journalistic approach taking into consideration the current and future prospects of the media industry and took a number of relevant decisions. The meeting was attended by the board members Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Dakheel, Nabeel Al-Hussain, Walid Bin Mahfouz, Dr. Tariq Fadaa, Dr. Ahmed Al-Youssef, Hussain Shobokshi and Dr. Walid Arab Hashem. Walid Qattan, director general; Ahmad Sulaiman Al-Battah, secretary of the board, and Jameel Al-Dhiyabi, editor-in-chief of Okaz, were also present.
