Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh held talks here today with representative of the International Quartet for Middle East peace Tony Blair and US Middle East peace envoy David Hale on the latest developments related to the peace process. The meeting also dealt with the outcome of the exploratory meetings that were held in Amman recently between Palestinians and Israelis to create an appropriate climate for the resumption of peace negotiations leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in line with international legitimacy, the Arab Peace Initiative as well as the Quartet statement. The meeting comes within the continued consultation and coordination with all concerned parties including the International Quartet and the Arab Peace Initiative Committee to assess the outcome of the exploratory meetings.
