Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh met today Japanese Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Hishahi Tokunaga. During the meeting, they discussed means to cement bilateral cooperation in various fields. Judeh highlighted Jordan's stance regarding the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and called for resolving the conflict based on international legitimacy resolutions and the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative. He stressed the importance of creating an appropriate climate to achieve just and comprehensive peace that guarantees an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. Tokunaga hailed Jordan's role in supporting the peace process and called for continued cooperation between the two countries to strengthen bilateral ties, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.
