The Primary Health Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has discussed in its meeting held here today the gulf strategy for non-infectious diseases, experiences, implemented steps and outcomes. Dr. Mona Al Kawari, Director of Primary Health Central Administration in the UAE Ministry of Health said: "The Ministry of Health hosts the GCC primary health meeting to discuss the latest updates and strategic plans in developing primary healthcare in the region. The meeting also dealt with an in-depth review of the previous meetings and recommendations of the GCC non-infectious meeting which was held in Bahrain last December. The meeting is expected to prepare brief measurable indicators for all member states and discuss the reports of achievements of the member states for the year 2011, according to a report of the UAE news agency "WAM".
