depth discussions on several health issues including means of combating non-infectious diseases "shabakat Iman" project; fighting chronic diseases programs; GCC stand on activating the global strategy of nutritional system, benefits of physical exercise and keeping good health. The council also discussed the quality of health care, infantile paralysis, bird flu, measles vaccination, strengthening national programs, foreign laborers and primary health care. Director of the executive bureau of GCC health ministers council Dr.Tawfeeq Khojah said that the council discussed the nursing services, health awareness in addition to the council's strategy for the next five years. Khojah also said that the council's agenda included medicines; medical equipment; medical rehabilitation equipment; medical labs; central registration of medicines' companies; continuous medical learning and training in addition to some financial and regulatory issues. At the end of the council's meeting, GCC health ministers announced that GCC countries are totally free from bird flu. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
