The GCC Health Ministerial Council will convene its 68th meeting in Abu Dhabi on February 2-3. The 2-day meeting will discuss a detailed report on the activities and achievements of the Executive Office of the GCC Council Ministers of Health, in addition to the decisions, latest recommendations and scientific developments which help develop the health services in the member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, according to Director-General of the Executive Office Dr. Tawfiq Khoja. The agenda of the meeting includes several important issues including quality of health care, patient safety, alternative and complementary medicine as well as the World Health Survey, the pandemic of swine flu and primary health care, Dr Khoja was quoted as saying by the UAE news agency "WAM". Speeches by UAE Health Minister Dr Hanif Hassan Ali, Yemeni Minister of Public Health & Population Dr Abdul Kareem Yahya Rase'a and GCC Secretary General Abdul Rehman Al-Atiyyah will be delivered at the opening session of the conference.
