Nadwah said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always been seeking for effective international movement to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the region to return all usurped rights to Palestinians including among others the establishment of their independent state on their national soil with Al-Quds as its capital . The Paper said that it is hopeful that the United States of America will be more keen this time on the success of these negotiations as the failure is unacceptable and it would lead to serious repercussions in the region that will be extended to the whole world because of the region's strategic ties with many bodies of the world. In its editorial on the Palestinian cause, Al-Watan newspaper said that it is no secret that the Palestinian Authority has come under pressure from the United States of America to accept returning to direct negotiations with Israel, noting that after more than a year of the Palestinian leadership's insistence that Israel should freeze settlement activities as a precondition for a return to direct negotiations, Palestinians agreed to abandon this requirement to pave the way for a return to the first direct negotiations with Israel since early 2009, but their continuing participation in direct negotiations was conditional upon the extension of Israel's decision to freeze settlement expansion, which ends on 26 September.
