Nadwah newspaper pointed out that the Arab peace initiative proposed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and adopted by the Arab summit in Beirut, and confirmed by subsequent Arab summits will be the most appropriate framework for achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East. The paper stressed that other initiatives or ideas that contravene with the Arab initiative for peace, will not succeed in achieving peace in the region. It added that the Arab peace initiative affirms that security can only be achieved through the return of the usurped rights of the Palestinian people and enabling them to exercise all their rights including the setting up of an independent Palestinian state on their national territory with Al-Quds as its capital. The paper indicated that Israel wants to maintain the occupied territories, consequently it started to press in an opposite track to circumvent the Arab peace initiative.
