Hamas has accused Abbas of protecting Israel and enabling it to escape from being tried before the international court for the genocidal war it earlier launched against Gaza. The mistake committed by the Palestinian leadership about the postponement of Goldstone report has provided Hamas with an excuse to escape reconciliation under the patronage of Cairo, the daily noted. The daily pointed out that the Arabs believe that the Palestinian unity will serve the Palestinian interests and enable the Palestinians restore their usurped rights including their right to establishment of an independent state with al-Quds as its capital in addition to the return of the Palestinian refugees to their homeland.
