The activities of the 7th Arab Scientific Conference on Nurturing Gifted and Talented (ACGT)continue its activities in Amman. Around 200 educational pioneers representing 17 Arab countries attending the conference, which is being held under the theme "Our dreams come true under the auspices and nurturing of our talented". The two-day meeting discusses 40 related topics, including the strategic planning and international standards for the education of the gifted students. Participants also tackle legal legislations, policies and Arab educational systems, as well as the role of universities, research centers, educational institutions, civil society organizations in nurturing and supporting the gifted ones. Three annexed training workshops and a symposium will be held at the sidelines of the conference, to highlight knowledge economy and sponsoring the gifted ones in line with Arab regulations and policies. The Arab Council for the Gifted & Talented (ACGT) was founded in 1996. Currently, the ACGT has 868 members representing 21 Arab countries, including Jordan, UAE, Bahrain, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Sudan, Iraq, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Somalia, Djibouti, Mauritania, and Yemen. The council aims at strengthening scientific and professional relations among ACGT members, promoting public awareness of the needs of gifted children. It also works at establishing a network for the exchange of ideas related to training teachers of gifted students, among individuals and institutions in the Arab world, as well as conducting research studies regarding major issues in the field of gifted education
