The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will partake in the 7th Scientific Conference of The Arab Council for the Gifted and Talented (ACGT), scheduled to start its two-day proceedings at Amman Holiday Inn on July 27. It is being sponsored by Jordan Image for Educational and Culture Exchange entitled "Our dreams come true under the auspices and nurturing of our Talented." As many as 200 educational pioneers from 17 Arab countries will discuss 40 related topics in the event, including the strategic planning and international standards for the education of the gifted. It also will tackle the management of Gifted and talented establishments as well as the Arab and global experiences in sponsoring the gifted. Three annexed training workshops will highlight knowledge economy and sponsoring the gifted ones in line with Arab regulations and policies. The ACGT was founded in 1996. Current membership is given as 868, with representatives from 21 countries (though only 20 are listed): Bahrain , Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, UAE and Yemen. The Council supports a series of conferences, the first of which took place in 1998 in the UAE. Subsequent events have alternated between Jordan (2000, 2005, 2009) and Oman (2003, 2007).
