An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale shook southwestern parts of the city of Dehloran in Ilam province, western Iran, early Thursday morning, according to IRNA. The Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, registered the quake at 02:22 hours local time (21:52 GMT). The tremor was epicentered in an area located in 32.33 degrees in latitude and 47.35 degrees in longitude. There is no report of any casualty or damage to property caused by the quake. Iran is often shaken by quakes of varying magnitudes as it sits on some of the world's most active seismic fault lines.
