A parliamentary delegation of Pakistan will leave for Brussels on Saturday (Feb 25) to explain to members of European Parliament the feelings of Muslims in Pakistan about publication of blasphemous sketches in Western newspaper. Religious Affairs Minister Muhammad Ijazul Haq said that he will leave the delegation and urged opposition leaders to be part of the delegation. He said the delegation was part of Pakistan's efforts to assist the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in projecting the cause of the Muslim Ummah. While returning home, the delegation will stop at Jeddah to brief the OIC Secretary General on its deliberations with their parliamentary colleagues in European Parliament, Haq said. He stressed the need for initiating larger dialogue between people belonging to various religions to understand each other. Pakistan, he said, wants to take initiate through the OIC, European Union (EU) and the United Nations.
