Religious Affairs Minister Ijazul Haq left for Bangkok on Sunday to be part of a four-member delegation of leaders of the Muslim countries to mediate between the Thai government and Muslim insurgents. Other members of the delegation are the Secretary General of the Makkah-based World Muslim League (MWL), the Mufti of Jordan and a former President of Sudan, Haq told The Saudi Press Agency (SPA). "We are undertaking the visit at the invitation of the Thai government," he said. The minister said it was an honour for him to be part of the distinguished team comprising highly respected leaders of the Muslim countries. He said he was proud to represent Pakistan. --MORE
