Pakistan People's Party and other groups organized protestsin Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Jaafarabad and other cities of Pakistan yesterday, against blasphemous cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The PPP had planned a protest meeting at Liaquat Bagh yesterday. But the venue was later changed to Rabia Manzil. Local PPP leaders addressed the gathering condemning the caricatures and called for a complete ban on imports from Denmark. Meanwhile, opposition parties yesterday refused to be a part of a parliamentary delegation the government is sending Brussels on blasphemous cartoons' row. The Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal said that a meeting of the combined opposition held at the Parliament house decided not to send opposition members with the delegation to Brussels.
