The Arab Republic of Egypt expressed its strong condemnation of the Houthi militia's attempt to target Abha International Airport using a bomb-laden drone which was intercepted by the joint forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen. This incident resulted in the injury of a number of civilians and damages to a civilian aircraft. In a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, Egypt affirmed its firm stance supporting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in addressing these terrorist acts targeting civilian areas in the south of the country, affirming its support for the measures taken by the Kingdom to preserve its security, stability and safety of citizens and expats against these heinous attacks which represent a violation of the rules of international law and a threat to the security and safety of civil aviation, air navigation and stability in the region.
