The Cairo-based General Relief Committee of World Islamic Council For Call and Relief called today on its affiliated organizations to play their humanitarian roles towards people affected by food crisis in Yemen as soon as possible. The Secretary General of International Islamic Relief Organization of Saudi Arabia (IIROSA), an affiliate of Muslim World League, and Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Adnan bin Khalil Basha, said that according to a report received from its office in Sanaa, Yemen, there are 5 million Yemeni people suffering from starvation in need of humanitarian assistance.
