BISHA, ASIR — The Civil Defense extinguished a fire set in a room in Al-Naqahah Mental Hospital on Saturday. Asir Civil Defense spokesman Col. Mohammad Al-Asmy said the hospital reported a fire in one of its rooms at 10:05 p.m. The fire was in an isolated room and there were no patients or medical staff in it. The Civil Defense saw smoke coming out of the room when they arrived on the scene. All 18 patients and staff members were evacuated. The Civil Defense extinguished the fire and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is presumed to be an electric short caused by the air conditioner in the room.
