ABHA — A fire in a two-story house completely gutted a room here on Monday. Asir Civil Defense spokesman Col. Mohammad Al-Asmi said smoke from the fire had also affected other areas of the house. Civil Defense teams used suction equipment to clear the house of smoke. Preliminary investigations, he said, show that the fire started due to an electrical short circuit. The official cautioned against overloading electrical plugs and wires.
