RIYADH — The Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi honored Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) for sponsoring the World Day for Cancer Survivors at a ceremony held last Saturday in King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh. Mohammed Al Belwe, Executive General Manager Corporate Communications and PR, received the honorary shield on behalf of Mobily. Mobily participated in the World Cancer Survivors Day as a technical communications sponsor as part of the concept of social responsibility adopted by the company. The World Cancer Survivors Day is a global annual celebration of cancer survivors to benefit from their experiences and dissemination of hope and optimism in the hearts of patients. The ceremony is annually held in Saudi Arabia by the Saudi Cancer Society in collaboration with various volunteer teams in Riyadh. This year's celebration was held in collaboration with the Cancer warrior's team of King Salman Youth Center. Mobily believes that social responsibility is a broad concept that carries aspects of a human dimension felt by everyone in the community toward his homeland, and that the adoption of this concept will enhance the coherence and cohesion of the community, and that's what the company believes in and seeks to implement. Among its priorities, Mobily supports charitable programs implemented by a number of charities in the Kingdom which directly affect certain segments. — SG
