As part of its commitment to support local tourism, Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) is sponsoring a number of summer festivals in different regions in the Kingdom.
Mobily which has major Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives (CSR), said it is the major sponsor and partner for four major summer festivals, including Buridah Summer Festival in the central region, Al Ahsa Summer Festival in the Eastern region and Najran Summer Festival in the Southern region.
Additionally, Mobily is also sponsoring 2011 Abha Shopping Festival for the 7th year in a row to support national summer activities in the region.
As part of its sponsorship and partnership with Asir Region, Mobily has set aside eight cars and daily prizes, which will be distributed across the coming two months, according to a statement issued by the company.
Two cars have already been delivered to Saudi winners who traveled from outside the region to attend the festival.
The annual Shopping Festival that was inaugurated last Friday by Prince Faisal Bin Khaled, Emir of Asir region, is among the most popular festivals held in the Kingdom, with millions of Saudis, GCC citizens and expatriates flocking to the area to enjoy the activities and weather.
In the Central region, the 2011 Buridah Summer Festival is one of the famous activities that attract many tourists and visitors seeing out the historical side of the Kingdom.

Al Ghobaini believes the private sector has a major role in supporting the local and the national tourism.
"Over the last three years, Mobily sponsored many different summer festivals as we believe that sponsoring such festivals is a national duty. We believe we have a major role in serving society" Al Ghobaini said.
Last week, Mobily was honored by Al Ahsa Governor Prince Bader Bin Mohammed Bin Jalawi during the official opening ceremony held at the King Abdullah Complex.
