The winner made the most of its big men to check the offense of Al-Hayat players in the shaded area. Al-Hayat coach Rey Maddatu made amends, instructing his troops to go for the outside shots. The plan played well till the third quarter when GNP switched to man-to-man defense to tame Al-Hayat. Jaber Gonzales top scored for GNP with 21 points and was adjudged the PEAK Sodas Sports Player of the Game. He was awarded a Tony Parker jersey courtesy PEAK. Alonto scored 17 points for Al-Hayat.
