Pin Crushers, Cool Guys and Ekis shine in Friday Morning League

JEDDAH — The past weeks at the FEDBG tournament have turned out to be a show of three teams with Pin Crushers and Cool Guys winning the Team of the Week honors. Ekis-6 shared limelight by momentarily seizing the top spot in the 5th week, albeit Pin Crushers grabbed it in the 6th session of the Friday Morning Bowling League 15th meet at the Bowling City here.
Pin Crushers won the 5th week's Team of the Week honors on aggregate of 3,681 built form sets of 1,242, 1,236 and 1,203 with Dariel Loquias topping the board with 674 on his games of 230, 219 and 225. Team captain Jay Bengco planked Loquias with 617 on 239 hi-game. Edu Toledo with 233 hi-game and Carling Constantino were also at par contribution with 601 each. Sharing Lady Bowler of the Week-winning score was Aileen Miralbuna with 610 handicapped series from sets of 207, 187 and 216. Rudy Valenzuela completed Pin Crushers' superb show with 578.
Leading Ernie Geslani-captained Ekis in topping the 5th week's rankings was Rey Beltran, who totaled 671 from games of 211, 242 and 218. He was backed up by Jimmy Mandingiado with 634 and Faisal Relativo with 600. The rest of their sterling 3,637 aggregate was shared by Zaldy Bacero 590, Geslani 570 and Alma Bacero 572. Ekis momentarily grabbed the top post on running totals of 37,517 with Pin Crushers right behind with 37,499. Nezar Alhamwi shared limelight by clinching the Male Bowler of the Week honors on totals of 687. Alhamwi posted games of 290, 193 and 204 in leading BCT Ball Care team inspiring Jun Pingan and team captain Emil Payongayong to support him with 622 and 614 for BCT's 3621 output.
Cool Guys regained contention in the 6th week by snapping the Team of the Week award for the second time with an aggregate of 3,638. Pin Crusher was second with 3,634. Team captain Jun de Dios masterfully led his team with Bowler of the Week-winning totals of 705 which turned out to be the new record for hi-series with handicap. De Dios powered Cool Guyz with games of 222, 249 and 234. Such fantastic leadership inspired George Mangaliman and the youngest leaguer Mark Punzalan to contribute 609 each. Serge Rivera augmented with 600, while Patrick Escondo and Salic Mudag shared the rest of Cool Guyz entire production.
Claiming the Lady Bowler of the Week honor was Mariz Resano, who totaled 633 in helping Fine Boys FB Rhinos post 3,512 sessions output wherein Rene Balangue was the top-scorer at 649.
Team captain Rod Lofamia, Simeon Dellosa, Oliver Robles and Melo Amano fairly shared the rest of the FB Rhino's output.
Standings after six weeks: Pin Crushers – 21,133, Ekis – 21,005, Cool Guyz – 20,930, BCT – 20,619, Lance & 3rdy – 20,532, HAL Falcons – 20,294, Micah's Pride – 20,277, Fine Boys FB Rhinos – 20,147, Cristal HQ – 20,028, Shawly Bowlers – 19,818.
