Published in The Saudi Gazette on 19 - 08 - 2013

TOYOTA Motor Corporation (TMC) recently conferred the Lexus Excellence Award for 2012 on Lexus branch in Japan of Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) as the best performing Lexus dealer. The award was handed to ALJ at a celebration party in Tokyo last July 30. In total, 75 dealers out of 165 Lexus dealers in Japan have been awarded.
ALJ's Lexus branch in Japan was one of only two dealers of 21 Lexus dealers in Tokyo receiving the award. The award covers the performance measured for one year period between April 2012 and March 2013.
Nomination mechanism for the award includes that the dealer should preferably obtain a score of excellent, and at the minimum rating equaling an over 65 percent mark of appreciation has to be given to the dealer for customer service. ALJ's Lexus branch in Japan stood out achieving well over the minimum requested with its customer evaluating its quality of service at 83 percent.
“We are honored and proud to have received this distinguished award and would like to thank all my associates for their efforts to improve services provided to our guests in all ALJ's branches. We at ALJ firmly believe the guest comes first. I also would like to thank TMC for this prestigious award,” said Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, President of ALJ Group.
“In addition, we believe in continuous development, and therefore are constantly upgrading our equipment with the latest in technology to provide the best service we possibly can. We're looking forward to raise our customer service ratings even higher,” he added.
The Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) Group, founded in 1945, has set up businesses in 15 countries across three continents. ALJ has a presence in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT), as well as Asia Pacific and Europe.
The company has a proven track record of successfully entering new markets and developing them across Europe, MENA and the Asia Pacific regions. ALJ in particular focuses on the MENAT region boasting strong networks and business relationships with an ability to reach a total population of 470 million.
ALJ has a strong commitment to quality and outstanding customer service in all markets it operates in, in addition to its role in launching community initiatives in Arab countries and Turkey. — SG
