MADINAH — A Saudi in his 60s was shot dead allegedly by a relative in Madinah's Al-Harrah Al-Sharqiyah neighborhood on Monday morning. The killing is believed to be the result of a personal dispute between the shooter and his victim. The man parked his car in a nearby neighborhood, walked to his relative's car and shot him, said police. The neighborhood, which was closed to the public by police, is said to be in shock. Spokesman for Madinah police Col. Fahad Al-Ghannam said police received a report of the shooting on Monday morning. Forensics experts examined the scene and evidence was collected. Search and investigation teams were able to locate the alleged shooter's car and he was arrested. They found the weapon believed to have been used in the shooting.
During preliminary questioning he admitted to the shooting and investigations are continuing. — SG
