born woman in her 20s kissed her two daughters, jumped out of a window on the fourth floor of a building here and died, officials said. Paramedics and security teams arrived at the scene and found that the woman, who had obtained American citizenship, was dead. Her body was taken to Al-Ansar Hospital and then to the General Hospital, officials said. Preliminary investigations showed that the woman, who was staying in the building with her mother, had lately been suffering from psychiatric and neurological disorders, according to officials. A team of investigators, Criminal Investigations Department men, a forensic doctor and a representative from the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution examined the scene, collected evidence and investigated the incident, said Col. Fahd Al-Ghannam, Madina Police spokesman. The dead woman's brother told of her last moments. He said she entered a room, performed Isha prayer and suddenly entered into a state of hysterical shouting. Then she started beating her young daughter and all members of the family intervened to save the little girl from her mother's attack. The woman calmed down a little, asked to see her two girls, kissed them and jumped out of the window, he said. Another family member said, “We tried to catch her at the last moment, but she was too quick to jump.” The dead woman was born in the Kingdom, got married, separated from her husband and obtained American citizenship, officials said. The woman's brother told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that she lived a disturbed life following the divorce. He stressed, though, that she was not suffering from a psychiatric disorder and never visited a hospital or medical center for any disorder of this nature. He said the suffering that descended on the family probably hastened her death.
