Zain Al-Abideen Khaled Saudi Gazette MADINAH – Police have arrested an Arab expatriate who allegedly killed a Saudi whose body was found on the foothills of a mountain in Madinah. An investigation team, comprising officials from all security branches and supervised by chief of Madinah police Maj. Gen. Saud Bin Awadh Al-Ahmadi, identified the body, which was found with various injuries near a mountain in Al-Zubair planned district of the city. The victim was identified as a Saudi national in his 70s. A relative confirmed his identity. The investigation team collected extensive evidence from the scene, and after forensic experts were able to narrow down suspicions to an Arab national, he was arrested with the collective efforts of security agencies. On questioning, the man admitted to killing the victim by hitting him on the head with a rock. He led security officials to the scene of the attack. Bloodstains and the rock used in bashing the man's head were found at the site. The suspect also showed the officials the place where he dumped the body. The case will be referred to the prosecution for further action, said Col. Fahd Al-Ghannam, spokesman for Madinah police.
