Ibrahim Alawi Okaz/Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of an Asian whose body was found decapitated inside an underground septic tank in Jeddah's Kilo 14 area. A water tanker driver saw part of the body protruding from inside the underground septic tank and called the police. Investigators started working on cracking the case and putting together pieces of information that gave them clues about the murder. A Jeddah police spokesman said initial investigations revealed foul play was involved as the body was found inside a garbage bag. Police identified the victim as a 50-year-old Asian who was working for a gas shop and had gone missing for three days. Following an extensive search, the victim's head was found in a deserted area. Police officers went to the victim's apartment and found a new carpet inside with bloodstains on it. When they questioned people staying in the apartment, they said the buyer had disappeared three days ago. Police then took into custody their suspect who was working as cook at a restaurant. When questioned, he told police that he had been sexually abused by the victim several times and that is why he stabbed him to death and dumped the corpse in the septic tank. Suzan Al-Mash'hadi, social specialist at Al-Amal Hospital, Jeddah, said the killer might have had other motives that had nothing to do with sexual harassment but revenge.
