Police investigating the fatal stabbing of a Yemeni man whose body was found in the trunk of a car in the north Jeddah district of Al-Marwa eight days ago say that his wife carried out the murder with the help of another man. Police said that the wife of the deceased was called in for questioning and exhibited “suspiciously defensive” behavior, leading investigators to retrace the final day of the medicine company employee's life. A connection was made between the wife and a colleague of the murder victim who disappeared from the company's offices the morning of the killing, and when she was brought in for questioning again confessed having arranged the murder. The victim had reportedly gone home to find his wife and his work colleague waiting for him, and he was stabbed twice in the chest. The two then put his body in the trunk of the car and as the work colleague drove off to dispose of the corpse the wife set about cleaning the site and removing evidence and then informed her brother-in-law that her husband had disappeared.
