The event was hosted by students' cabinet, which is headed by school head boy Vazim Latheef. The day witnessed active participation of students from various sections. The young students put up a spectacular display of performances that comprised an array of activities, including quiz contest, singing and dance performances, acting, among others. The boys showcased their latent talents in the fields of art, culture, and entertainment. The dance skit on patriotism shed light on the events that led to the martyrdom of our national heroes like Mangal Pandey, Bhagat Singh and Mahatma Gandhi, infusing the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of all. The skit presented on “Child Labour” focused on the necessity of eradicating this social menace which is still prevalent in many parts of the world. Another skit titled “Save Animals” aimed at the ardent need of protecting our wild life. A drama “Respect toward Parents” reminded children to recognize, honor and appreciate the love and care they have received from their parents. Students Arfad Haneeef, Sriram Sateesh, Joel and Naif Muizz enthralled the audience with their performances whereas Abdul Ahad, Saifuddin, Goutham, and Ajwad captivated the hearts of all with their melodious and mystic voices. The perfect fusion of dance with karate added more color and thrill to the event and the audience. The school also remembered and acknowledged the contribution of Bollywood Heroes who bid farewell to the world, leaving behind a rich legacy of art and cinema. The most anticipated and intriguing event of the day was the release and the screening of the film titled “Good Friend – A hug from God,” directed and edited by Mohammed Azhar. The film that touched the hearts of the audience was penned by Naved Noushad where as the screenplay was done by Zaki Mukane. The cast included Vazim Latheef, Rizwan Abdul Razzack, headmaster of grade 9 - 12 Noufal P., Maria Das, Mohammed Haneefa, Syed Abdul Haq, Abid Hassan, Hari Krishnan and Raihunuzzaman. School principal Syed Masood Ahmed commended the efforts of the students and the staff and congratulated them on achieving another milestone. Masood said: “Events, such as these, provide a platform for unleashing the hidden talents of the Youth.” — SG
