JEDDAH — To celebrate our love for our homeland is indeed a very special feeling, and it becomes more special when you feel that same love and respect for a country which is our home away from home. Like any Saudi national, the expatriates also made the Saudi National Day a remarkable and joyful event; and it was a day of pride for all of them. The young boys of grades three - five of International Indian School Jeddah, boys' section, were no exceptions, as they celebrated the National Day of Saudi Arabia, showcasing their solidarity toward their second home that has given them a better life. A special assembly was held in the school auditorium. All the students joined the celebrations with great enthusiasm. The event was attended by dignitaries and the school's principal Syed Masood. The ceremony commenced with the recital of a few verses from the Qur'an, and was followed by poems and speeches in Arabic. The students put up a special play which depicted true patriotism and sincere love for our country Saudi Arabia. After which, a traditional Saudi dance filled the auditorium with lots of energy. The event came to an end with the vote of thanks. — SG
