RIYADH — A team of investigators from Riyadh police set an ambush for two people who allegedly overpowered car owners and seized their cars forcibly. They would then dismantle the car and sell the parts. They were also implicated in using stolen IDs to rent cars and sell them at cheap prices. They were caught after an Asian reported that two thieves seized his car forcibly when he came out of a showroom at Al-Naseem neighborhood in Riyadh. Also, two Saudis reported that they found the windows of their cars parked near their residences smashed and official documents including IDs were stolen. The police apprehended the two thieves who were driving the two cars registered in the name of the Saudis. Police also found official documents belonging to several victims in their possession.
