Security patrols have arrested in Manfouha District a drunken man who stabbed a Saudi national and sped away with his car. The police nabbed the assailant within a short time of the crime, the Riyadh police said in a statement Saturday. The police received a call from the victim saying that an unidentified man had blocked his way, stopped his car and stabbed a knife in his leg. The man then forcibly took his car and sped away. The security patrols provided the wounded citizen with first aid before taking down his testimony and noting the descriptions of the escaped assailant. The statement said security authorities carried out an extensive search in the district. In a short time, security patrols spotted the stolen car driven by the accused in southern Manfouha. He was stopped and overpowered. It turned out during investigation that he was intoxicated. The weapon he used in the crime was also found in the car. He was apprehended and handed over to Manfouha Police Station. __
