RCL Al-Khalifa T20 Cup kicks off

The RCL Al-Khalifa T20 Cup Cricket Tournament, sponsored Al-Khalifa Group of companies and organized by Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) began here recently.
Al-Khalifa management extended great support to RCL committee by sponsoring the tournament for the first time. RCL CEO Jawaid Munawar and Senior Advisor Razaur Rahman thanked the sponsor.
Premier Blue League
Hyderabad Boyz CC got the better of Punjab Lions CC by 11 runs. Batting first, Hyderabad Boyz CC scored an outstanding total of 232 runs in 20 overs. Ismail gave a blistering start, making 87 and Salah hit 61.
Asfandiyar took 1 wicket. In reply, Punjab Lions CC's Fiyaz scored an unbeaten century (154). Fahad took 1 wicket. Punjab Lions CC was restricted to 221. Man of the Match: Ismail.
In another close encounter, Konkan Green CC won against Jamia CC by 54 runs. Batting first, Konkan Green CC made 227 in 18 overs as Tausif made a crucial 86 along with Mansoor and Shanawaz who hit half centuries. Nisar and Moin took 3 wickets each. In reply, Jamia CC's Ejaz top scored with 90. Tahseen grabbed 3 wickets as Jamia CC managed 173.

Diamond II CC prevailed over Royal Fighters CC by 3 runs. Batting first, Diamond II CC tallied 175 in 20 overs. Javid blasted a quick 31 and Azhar 26. Madani was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets. In reply, Royal Fighters CC gained momentum in the early overs as Ameen made a comfortable 54 and Touseef 27. Umair took 3 wickets as the match went into the last over. Diamond II CC successfully restricted Royal Fighters to 175. Man of the Match: Umair.
Patriots CC registered a 9-wicket win over Fuchs Petroleum CC. Batting first, Fuchs Petroleum CC made 131 in 18.3 overs. Mutakim made 29 and Bilal 27. Abbas, Saeed and Adil took 2 wickets each. In reply, Patriots CC showed no mercy and won in 11.3 overs as Abbas made a quick 70 and Abdullah 57. Man of the Match: Abbas.
Pak Gladiators CC edged past Dherab Golf CC by 35 runs. Batting first, Pak Gladiators CC scored 190 in 20 overs. Openers showed some class as Zeeshan scored a quick 50. Usman took 3 wickets, while Jahanzaib and Sabir got 2 each. In reply, Ahmed of Dherab Golf CC scored 59 but was ultimately restricted to 155. Noshad bagged 4 wickets. Man of the Match: Zeeshan.
Premier Green League
Gujral CC outplayed Pak CC by 60 runs. Gujral CC was put into bat first and it made 168 in 18 overs. Waqas was the top scorer with 40, followed by Ali 39. Mohsin took 3-33. In reply, Amir of Pak CC made 42 but the team was restricted to 108 Vicky, Waqas and Waseem claimed 1 wicket each. Man of the Match: Waqas.
Diamond CC defeated Riyadh Gladiators CC by 78 runs. Batting first, Diamond CC put on 202 in 20 overs as Tiab Afzal blasted 101 in 55 balls. Ali and Faheem took one wicket each.
While chasing down the big total, Riyadh Gladiators CC was restricted to 124. Salman hammered 40 and Waheed 29. Shakeel took 5 wickets. Man of the Match: Taib Afzal.
Pak Knights CC outplayed United XI CC by 2 wickets. Batting first, United XI CC posted 177 in 18 overs. Adnan scored a valuable 56 and Azhar 40. Qais took 3 wickets.
In reply, United XI CC's Arsalan (42) and Haroon (46) gave a good start. But Nasir and Ikram took 2 wickets each as Pak Knights CC completed the win with 2 balls remaining. Man of the Match: Waqas. — SG
