Top teams excel in AMAQ T20 cup event

Excellent bowling by Ali, Imtiyaz, Salman, Hashim, Asad, Majid and Naveed and fine half centuries by Taher, Qaiser, Manoj, Taib and Saqib were the hallmarks of the AMAQ Contracting Company-sponsored first week of AMAQ T-20 tournament organized by Riyadh Cricket League (RCL).
The week saw all round performance by Taher, Qaiser, Mansoor N, Abdullah and Waseem as Royal Fighters CC, Konkan Green CC, Pak CC, Finfa Warriors CC, Patriots CC, Sada-E-Kashmir and Derab Golf CC registered wins.
In the Premier Blue:
Royal Fighters CC won against Young Evergreen CC by 45 runs. The Royal Fighters scored 188 runs with Qaiser scoring 66 runs. He was well supported by Mustafa 36 and Tanvir 19 as Young Evergreen bowlers Salman (3/33), Mohsin (2/34) and Ali (1/30) stood out. Salman 43, Ayaz 29 and Nawaz 20 respectively led Young Evergreen's reply but Hashim (3/24), Mustafa (2/15) and Ameen (2/38) restricted them to 143 runs. Man of the Match was Qaiser Wagh.
Finfa Warriors CC registered a 6 wickets victory over Gujranwala CC, with the latter making 176 Runs. For Gujranwala CC, Tahir 46, Zubair 39 and Ehsan 25 scored. For Finfa Warriors Imtiyaz (3/48), and Amer and Sami took a wicket each.
Taher 79 , Salam 45 and Faizan 10 runs then blazed the way for FInfa, with Naveed (2/38), Ashraf (1/13) and Irfan (1/34) being among the wickets as Finfa Warriors cruised to win in 13 overs. Man of the Match was Taher Bin Jaffer.
Konkan Green CC beat Deccan Knights Glory CC by 41 runs. Batting first, Konkan scored 178 runs for 6 wickets. Manoj 55, N. Mansoor 47 and Adil 39 dominated. For Deccan Knights Numan (2/31), Sameer (2/37) and Praveen (1/17) starred. Deccan Knights were led by Sameer 38, Hussaini 23 and Venky 20, but Konkan Green restricted Deccan Knights to 137 runs. N. Mansoor (2/21), who was adjudged man of the match, Ayub and Adil with 1 wicket apiece led Konkan's effort.
Patriots CC recorded a 7 runs victory over Diamond I CC. Patriots made 175 with Abdullah 42, Adil 34 and Abbas 27 contibuting. Amjad (2/31), Afzal (1/16) and Mirza (1/41) were the pick of Diamond bowlers. Then Taib 57, Shafi 29 and Naeem 29 led Diamond's charge with Abbas (2/12), Abdullah (2/12) and Asim (1/41) taking the wickets. Man of the Match was Abdullah.
Dherab Golf CC gained a nail-biting 1-run victory over Jamiaa CC. Dherab Golf CC made 158 runs with Ahmad 49, Noor 34 and Mushtaq 18 scoring against some fine bowling from Mustafa (5/8), Masih (1/17) and Saif (1/19).
Jamiaa CC then batted slowly and just failed in thei chase. Haseeb 34, Moin 33 and Naaz 28 dazzled but it was not enough as Mushtaq (3/33), Aurangzeb (1/13) and Haroon (1/18 restricted Jamiaa CC to 157. Man of the Match was Ahmad Khan.
In The Premier Green:
Pak CC scored a 7 wickets over Riyadh Pirates CC, who made 134 on batting first. Shams scored 43 runs and was well supported by Afnan 26 and Shadab 16. Asad (3/13), Mohsin (2/18) and Aftab (1/14) bowled well. Waseem 43, Ammar 24 and Asad 29 batted well for Pak CC. Laksh (2/34) and a wicket each by Shadab and Adnan as Pak CC completed the win in 14.5 overs. Man of the Match was Waseem Khan.
Sada E Kashmir CC routed Gujral CC by 70 runs. Sada E Kashmir made 223 for 3 with Saqib scoring 75. He was well supported by Sohaib 45 and Ishtiaq 27. For Gujral CC Haider (2/24) and Abbas (1/47) took the wickets. Then Gujral's Mudassir 44 and Ali 26 were the run getters as Sada E Kashmir bowlers Ali (5/27), Majid (3/16) and Nafees (1/16) restricted Gujral CC to 153. Man of the Match was Ali.
