Casadores edges Ekis as BCT-JBS bags week's honor

JEDDAH — Casadores GBI-TBBGI entrenched their defensive position after marginally beating their opponent on the entrance game to be the consequential winner in their tensely-fought match against top favorite Ekis-8, while BCT-JBS Pro Shop reentered the red-line cutoff on their blanking of rivals to clinch their fifth Team of the Week honors at the conclusion of week 19 of the FEDBG-FMBL 17th meet at Bowling City here.

BCT-Juraifani Pro Shop once again showed form with a lopsided 3,786-3,075 win against understaffed Marinduqueños. Team captain Emil Payongayong led with 672 while team head James Monteleyola had 612 for the latter. Greatly supporting Payongayong on this 5th Team of Week accolade-winning outings of BCT-JBS was Jimmy Aragones with 658, followed by Rommel Cagampang (630), Ryan Conde (618), Aisah Silabay (612) and Eloisa Fernandez (596). BCT-JBS re-entered the cutoff with computation of 629 tied with Lane Axis, but posted third place by way of higher pinfalls (69,020-68,035) behind league-leader Cool Guys with 652 points and Pin Slasher with 632 points.
Micah's Pride also did well this week when they blanked FB Rhinos on final tallies of 3,750-3,514 with TC/TM Ester Santoc topping the winners' binge with 690 but failing her second BOW aspiration on games of 230, 229 and 231.
Nevertheless these sterling games of Santoc elicit superlative games from Oca Bernabe, Nethneth Cerbito, Renato Gonzales and Jeff San Pedro respectively delighting her with 608, 639, 631 and 668. Marking 600 and up for FB Rhinos were Rod Lofamia (601), Imelda Sayago (661) and Rommel Calingasan (617). Micah's Pride is now behind Lane Axis with computed points of 596.
Other matches showed that Cool Guys sustained league-leadership via beating second-running Pin Slasher 18-4 (3,510-3,371), Liquidators trashed Global Intergold but both got consoled with the Bowler of the Week accolades garnered by Melo Dianco for the winner and Luz Pagaran for the loser. Dianco led Liquidators-3 with 691 on games of 199, 255 and 237, Pagaran defended Global with 694 online with 230, 225 and 239, Lane Axis defeated Four Season at 18-4 and Sagmit Dental Clinic downed Trojans at 14-8.
