JEDDAH — Micah's Pride was served best by the Lady Bowler of the Week winner Gneth Cerbito, who scored 699, to lead the Rolly Vistal and Ester Santoc-skippered squad for its first Team of the Week honor at the expense of Global Intergold on final tallies of 3,784-3,614 at the resumption of the Friday Morning Bowling League 17th meet at the Bowling City here. Cerbito bested Micah's board with 210, 240 and 249 to inspire Renato Gonzales 677, Oca Bernabe 651, Paolo Allego 643, Vistal 566 and Santoc 548 melt rivals in games 1 and 3 with the endgame rout of the Serge Rivera-captained GIG at 1,390-1,171 for marginal tallies of 3,784-3,614. Gonzales best plank was 273 in game 3, while Bernabe did it in the opener at 235. From eighth place, Micah jumped to fourth with 252 computed points. Global Intergold stayed just above the cellar with Pinky Acato, Rudy Valenzuela and Robet Bago crossing the 600 marks, while Danny Bautista, Gilbert Salindong and Rivera contributing just above average. BCT-JBS Pip's Pro Shop and Casadores also did great over their respective opponents when the former edged Cool Guys at 3,578-3,568 in games 1 and 3 wins for an 18-4-point settlement. Casadores outscored favorite Ekis-8 on a similar 18-4-point decision on final outputs of 3,646-3,570. Team captain Emil Payongayong, Romel Agbayani and Aisah Silabay lifted BCT with 600 and up marks supported by far above averages of Edward Botardo, Ryan Conde and Rommel Cagampang making uneven for Randy Mata and daughter Michelle who are the 600 markers on the other side. However, despite the support of Rene Punzalan, Dylan Ilagan and Lourdes Punzalan, Cool Guys did not break through the 10-pin barrier. Ekis-8 was actually on the advantage after gaining momentum in second game and got ahead with 2,402-2,359 into the third set. But when Marlon Bernabe, Matet Cavite and Bing Amolo regained composure to be more cohesive with Tommy Kamal, Sharmaine Patayan and Rudy Catampatan, Casadores pierced through the obstacles and left opponent by more than 100 pins (1,168-1,287) to win the battle at 18-4. Amolo led Casadores with 707 with Bernabe and Cavite giving 654 and 659. The Ernie Geslani-captained Ekis was topped by Faisal Relativo at 640 with back up from Zaldy Bacero 612, Rey Beltran 605, Malou Gime 601 and Alma Bacero 574. Sagmit Dental Clinic suffered a setback of 8-14 (3,626-3,776) from Liquidators-3 but enabled to sustain overall second place by salvaging the overall scratch at 3,361-3,251. Nap Patayan lifted Liquidators with his Bowler of the Week-winning score of 754 from games of 242 and a couple of 256. Best supports to Pantayan came from team captain Erwin Palilio 634, Susan Patayan 613, Hanna Reyes 601, co-captain Marcelo Manalo 584 and AFM 590. Team head Ric Reformado carried most for SDC at 644 with the defense shared by TM Evelyn Santoc, Igna Salgado, Ding dela Rosa, Mhon Laxamana and Ruel Santoc. Other results: Four Season walloped FB Rhinos 20-2 (3,552-3,374), Lane Axis emptied Trojans in high scoring and classically fought match settled at 3,709-3,608 and Pin Slahers blanked undermanned Marinduquenos (3,524-3,138).
