Saqib and Shafaqat hit tons in WPCA T20

JEDDAH — Saqib Butt of Crown Blue and Shafaqat of Ralco hit centuries, while Ali of ADI XI exhibited fine all-round performance in the Morning T20 Tournament, sponsored and organized by WPCA here.
Seven matches took place with ADI XI, Crown Blue, Tata Motors, Emper Perfumes, Deloitte, Ralco and Nesma Holding winning their respective matches.
ADI XI crushed Cousin XI by 45 runs. ADI XI produced 143 for 8. Danial scored 31 and Mohammed Sattar Ali 53 as the two added 67. Afsar added 33 not out. Hyder took 3-25 and Aqeel 2-18. Cousin XI, in response, was crushed for 98 as Ali, after excelling with the bat, claimed 4-21 along with Faazi 2-27 and Nabeel 2-19. Haroon made 18, Naveed Qamar 15 and Junaid 21. Omar Mehfooz had 3 victims behind the sticks.
Crown Blue humbled Brasa De Brazil by 9 wickets. Brasa De Brazil posted 151 for 5. Numan scored 31 and Tahir 28 as the duo added 65. Waseem smashed 41 and Shahid Yusuf 30. Iftikhar had 2-26.
Crown Blue was home (156 for 1) in 88 balls with Saqib Butt smashing an unbeaten 100 in 47 balls. He added match-winning 133 in 74 balls for the unbroken 2nd wicket partnership with Shafiq (29).
Tata Motors downed Al-Kabbani by 58 runs. Tata Motors piled up 165 for 6. Noor Butt hammered 33, while Mudassir Iqbal remained unbeaten on 78 and Farooq contributed 17. Imran took 3 for 27 and Asad 2-23. Al-Kabbani Cricket Group was restricted to 107. Luqman scored 20 and Imran Qayyum 21. Jaffar took 3-18, Sayed 2-14 and Faisal Lateef 2-1.
Emper Perfumes got the better of Jeddah Tigers by 6 wickets. Jeddah Tigers put on 142 for 9. Abdullah made 38, Waheed 18 and Abdulkhaliq 22. Sajjad (3-30) and Aamir (3-39) picked up three wickets each. Emper Perfumes, with a strong batting lineup, reached 144 for 4 in 75 balls. Rana Babar scored 47, Usman Jani 33 and Usman Amjad 17.
Deloitte prevailed over AOT Digital Technology by 18 runs. Deloitte plundered 153 for 4. Zulfiqar made 25 and Owais 33 to put together 66 for the first wicket. Irfan remained unbeaten on 44 and Emad 25. Ali took 2-17. AOT Digital Tech was left stranded at 135 for 6. Saqlain blasted 50, Anas Ali 24 and Zakir Habib 17. Irfan took 3-26.
Ralco thrashed Hanifa Tigers by 75 runs. Ralco, opting to bat first, slammed 200 for 2 in 15 overs. Shafaqat hammered an unbeaten 101 in 45 balls with the help of 14 fours and a six. Naeem scored 61 in 22 balls and Tanveer unbeaten 22. Hanifa Tigers was bowled out for 125. Omair scored 20, Faheem 17 and Sameer Khan remained unbeaten on 21. Jahangir grabbed 3-28, Shafaqat 3-20, Tayyab 2-23.
Nesma Holding pulled off by 2-run win over Star XI. Nesma Holding piled up 192 for 7 through Jawad (51), Rana (51) and skipper Sheraz (20). Salem took 3-30 and Tabrez 2-34. Star XI fell short by 2 runs. Rizwan hit 71 in 40 balls as he first added 50 with Kaleem (17) and then 132 with Omar (47).
