SCC Morning enters knockout stage

JEDDAH — All is set for the knockout stage of the SCC Morning T20 with 2 teams each from four groups advancing to the quarterfinals.
MFCC, Emper perfumes, Crown Blue, New Young Stars, Tata Motors, Brasa De Brazil, QRCC and ALJ Toyota have qualified for the last eight of the tournament, which is sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center and managed by WPCA.
Arcoma thrashed Rising Stars by 9 wickets. Rising Stars posted 148 for 8 as Arfan hit 45 and Asim 29. Rayyan scored 18. Rabbani grabbed 5-22. Arcoma reached 150 for 1 in just 74 balls as Kaleem blasted an unbeaten 93 and Pervez Abid hit 36.
MFCC humbled Hanifa Tigers by 6 wickets. Hanifa Tigers was bowled out for 141. Omer Mohammed made 50, Kashif 25 and Omar 18. Yaseen took 4-23 and Babar 3-10. MFCC remained unbeaten in the tournament as it reached 144 for 4 as Shafaqat stroked 41, Iftikhar 15, Waseem 21 and Babar retired for 32.
Emper Perfumes had the better of Harsco Baroom by 4 wickets. Harsco Baroom posted 146 for 6 with Hasanat smashing 97 in 54 balls with a six and 15 fours. Abdulkarim scalped 2-10 and Shahzad Ahmed 2-30. Emper Perfumes had Usman Amjad blasting an unbeaten 123 in 53 balls with a six and 25 fours to take the team to 147 for 6. Imran claimed 2-24.
GBest IDB prevailed over Sadafco by 21 runs. GBest IDB racked up 180 as Fakhar hammered 95 and Rayees 20. Zameer scalped 3-33, Ali 2-18 and Saqib 2-25. Sadafco, in reply, could manage only 159 for 8. Ali stroked 42, Zubair 17 and Saqib 28 not out. Khawi took 3-31, Aleem 3-35 and Fakhar 2-16.
Rehab Riders edged past ADI XI by 30 runs. Rehab Riders produced 156 for 9 as Amjad hit 30, Ahmed 36 and Ateeq 14. Danial took 3-27 and Afsar 2-36. ADI XI was restricted to 126 for 8. Salman made 18, skipper Omar Mehfooz 29 and Adeel 16. Kamran was the pick of the bowler with 5-18 and Tanveer took 3-13.
Tata Motors trounced Universal Cool & Cool by 7 wickets. Universal produced 177 for 6 thanks to Tariq Siddiqui's 51, Bilal's 73 and Shebi's 26. Aqeel took 2-26 and Syed Ali 2-30. Tata was home (180) for the loss of 3 wickets in 88 balls. Faisal smashed 63 with 9 fours, Irfan Qureshi 20 and Noor Butt 47. Shakeel took 3 for 37.
QRCC topped the group by beating Jeddah Tigers. Jeddah Tigers posted 142 for 6. Abdullah scored 22, Saeed 37 and Shaheen 20. Yasir grabbed 3-23. QRCC achieved the target in 88 balls by getting to 144 for 4. Saleem Indi scored 38, Sadiq Memon 52 and Zahid 20. Abdullah took 3 for 35.
