AJVA takes home coveted awards at Ford Service Excellence World Cup
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 24 - 12 - 2015

The Ford Service Excellence World Cup for 2015 held recently in the UAE saw Saudi Arabia's Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies (AJVA), the local Ford and Lincoln importer-dealer in the Kingdom, take home some of the most coveted titles on offer, and the most awards on the night.
Competing against dealers from seven other countries from around the Middle East, AJVA triumphed with Arsie P. Fernandez finishing first in the "Best Service Technician" category, and Mohammed Yousuf Abdulaziz coming out on top as "Best Service Advisor". Anoop Mathew finished a commendable third in the race for "Best Parts Counterperson". Rounding out the awards for Saudi Arabia's AJVA was a second place finish overall for "Best Team in the Middle East".
The superb showing by AJVA at this year's Ford Service Excellence World Cup was the culmination of months of hard work, ensuring all the country's participants were Ford-certified professionals, having completed the required trainings in their respective positions before being allowed to join the dealer's internal competition.
Phase one of the competition involved choosing the best in branch, with the top two performers in each field being invited to the national finals in Riyadh in October. Winners were then chosen to take part in a preparation week, when countless practical training sessions took place to ready competitors for the Ford Service Excellence World Cup.
"This is a great event at multiple levels," said Chris Noel, Ford's Customer Service director for Saudi Arabia. "It serves as an incentive to strengthen our technicians' and service advisors' knowledge and abilities, thus guaranteeing an excellent service for our clients."
Paul Wright, National Service Director at AJVA, said: "Winning both of these prestigious Ford Middle East awards is a tremendous effort and achievement for the Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies organization as it proves that our company, and our staff are fully committed to improving their skills through training so that we can give a better service to our customers."
The annual Ford Service Excellence World Cup serves as a vessel to acknowledge and reward the best automotive technicians and service advisors in the Middle East, with winners such as Fernandez, Abdulaziz and Mathew receiving the recognition they deserve for their hard work and dedication to the Ford brand.
