AJVA technicians obtain specialized body repair and vehicle paint skills
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 27 - 01 - 2013

Technicians of Ford and Lincoln importer-dealer in the Kingdom, Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies Co. (AJVA), recently received certification on specialized body repair and vehicle paint skills after completing an intense technical training program.
A total of 24 technicians from the Riyadh branch of AJVA participated in a specialized Body Repair technical training curriculum held over three weeks. The program, conducted by body repair professionals from the UK, included training on panel replacement, MIG welding, spot welding and major sectional repair.
Participants gained knowledge and training on how to restore a vehicle back to its original state, both on the body and structural fronts, thereby giving confidence to customers that their vehicles are back in the original condition, and most importantly, with the same original structural integrity.
“There are a lot of body shops that can repair a vehicle and make it look good, but we are investing in special training where, once repaired by our technicians, the customer's car not only will look good, but will protect occupants in a future accident the same way that it would if it were brand new from the factory,” said Paul Wright, director, Bodyshop and Quick Lane, Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies Co. “If you don't use proper welding techniques and original equipment parts, the repair could end up making the car more stiff or rigid. If this is done and then the customer had a similar accident the impact of the crash would not be properly absorbed by the vehicle, and could present a risk to the driver and passengers,” he added.
“Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies Co is fully committed to offering the highest levels of service as well as the technical knowledge and support to the Ford and Lincoln customers across the Kingdom,” said Sabah Abdullah Al Kraidees, Sales and Marketing director of Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies Co. “We continue to invest in developing our teams and provide training to our technicians to ensure that we have the best people on board. Certification helps our personnel to be on top of their game which, in the long run, provides our customers the assurance and cost-efficiency of a well-repaired vehicle.”
John McEachern, Ford Middle East's Country manager for Saudi Arabia, said: “We commend AJVA for their dedication to provide Ford customers with impeccable after sales service and support. They not only continue to invest in adding more service facilities across the Kingdom and making more and more original Ford parts available to our customers, but they also relentlessly continue to develop the technical skills required to support the ever growing Ford and Lincoln customer base in Saudi Arabia.” — SG
