Eraserheads, Lambo steal the show and claim week's awards

Defending champion Eraserheads, gunning for the fourth consecutive title, displayed top form to bag the Team of the Week Award while Joel Lambo, wearing the jerseys of FBGR Selection team, rocked the lanes to claim the Best Bowler of the Week Award during the 28th Week of the keenly contested Almarai Saturday Bowling League, 10th Conference.
The league is sponsored by Almarai Company and organized by the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR) at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC).
Multi-awarded southpaw Ronald Bautista posted a towering four-game series scratch of 989 to lift Eraserheads over SABB Advance, 20-10 and helped the team claim the Team of the Week Award.
A three-time Perfect 300 holder Bautista started hot in the first game to score a game high 266 and carded 246, 221 and 252 in the remaining three games. Also at the limelight in the Eraserheads, captained and managed by Armin Isles, was Willy Nogoy, Andro Tismo and Isles. Nogoy and Tismo submitted separate series of 860 and 792 respectively while Isles contributed 785. The duo of Edwin Atienza and Benito Santos chipped in separate series of 436 and 375 in two games. Eraserheads' astounding victory tightened their hold as the undisputed current league leaders.
Yasser Mohamed and lefty Marvin Arocena stole the limelight in SABB Advance by tallying separate series of 773 and 745 respectively. Edgar Naje, Leo Mabunga and Mike Ecalnir registered separate series of 638, 623 and 612 while team mentor Ahmed Al-Qarquoush scored 561 points.
Almarai team shocked heavy favorite Itqan Eagles, 19-9, through the good games of Cas Encila (823), Fhel Ramos (806), Alex Armada (642) and Romy Cabrillas (617). Emerson Mitra, Paul Decena and Jun Daniel supported Almarai by adding separate series of 416, 395 and 368.
Manny Lebrilla led in Itqan Eagles by posting a series of 840 in four outings and he was followed by Ruel Toledo (807), Arnel Garlan (778) and Boy “tisoy” Mirando (717). Johnny Penicilla and Jonathan Tabago hit 378 and 359 series in two matches respectively.
Royal Archers – Reloaded this time came back with a fiery performance to outplay Itqan Bees, 18-11. Southpaw Ric Tugonon topscored by posting 878 series while Doy del Moral, Fathi Abood Abdulaziz and HaniAl-Nasleh came next by nailing down separate series of 826, 820 and 793. Petiti Fareed Aquino shared 786 points.
Leading scorers in Itqan Bees were Ric Singson (855), HRS Prince Mohamed Sultan (807), Lulu Quejada (806), Arnold Jesena (805) and Jun Bantug (755).
FBGR Selection recorded 16-12 win against Nadec Strokers, courtesy of the best bowler Joel Lambo who registered a four-game series of 939 on lines of 215, 234, 266 and 196. Cheng Lambo followed Joel by knocking down 859 series. Thong Asuncion, Zaldy Torres and Jett Cabana pocketed separate series 815, 785 and 782. The pair of Reynald Medina and Jove Marano shone in Nadec Strokers by tallying 845 and 799 series. Atoi Ramos added 763 points while Charles Rosauro sealed 518 and Danny Nabong scored 202 in one game.
