RIYADH – Defending champion Eraserheads, mentored and managed by Armin Isles, and Jun Daniel of Almarai Company team sparkled to capture the Best Team and Best Bowler of the Week Awards respectively in the 24th Week of the Saturday Bowling League organized by the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR). The event which is sponsored by Almarai Company, is being held at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC). Eraserheads, eyeing their fifth title, pulverized the undermanned FBGR Selection 24-7. The outstanding performances of Ronald Bautista and Edwin Atienza with a splendid support of Armin Isles, Willy Nogoy and Benito Santos helped Eraserheads claim the Best Team of the Week Award. The deadly duo of Bautista and Atienza led in Eraserheads by posting separate series of 947 and 910 in four games. Bautista had on lines of 246, 235, 232 and 234 while Atienza carded 195, 238, 287 and 190. Isles, Nogoy and Santos scored separate series of 852, 805 and 801 in four outings. For the FBGR Selection, posting the best output was Joel Lambo with 868 points and he was followed by Thong Asuncion (799), Jett Cabana (777), Zaldy Torres (775) and Jerry Austria with 570 series in three games. Sonny Alviso's Meron Na! team clobbered Nadec Strokers, 22-9 and saw Alviso topscore in Meron Na! by knocking down 886 points. Ruben Tan, Gerry Damiray and Ric Urrutia Jr. hammered 882, 872 and 845 points respectively. Arnold Salcedo and Shakur Kamlian contributed 391 and 382 series in two games. Ruben Babasa shot 864 points to be on top in Nadec Strokers. Jove Marano and Atoi Ramos rocked lanes to score 802 and 788 points. Danny Nabong had 585 points while Lope Ramirez and Charles “wong” Rosauro downed 377 and 364 series in two matches. Alinma dismantled Boiling Point, 22-6 through the expense of Abdulrahman Ahmed, Jojo de Silva and Ely Fanugao. Abdulrahman rocked lanes to topscore in Alinma by posting a towering four game series of 935 while De Silva and Fanugao followed Abdulrahman by registering separate series of 932 and 821. Bernie Torres and Jess Ambon submitted an identical series of 720. Graceful Betsy Costumbrado seared lanes to lead in Boiling Point by posting a series of 821 in four games. SABB Advance recorded 19-8 victory over Fab & Cool through the good games of Marvin Arocena (877) and Leo Mabunga 857.
