Nadec Strokers, captained by Lope Ramirez, and Romy Cabrillas of Almarai Company team captured the best team and best bowler of the week awards, respectively in the 27th Week of the FBGR–Almarai Saturday Bowling League, 10th Conference, at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC). The league is sponsored by Almarai and organized by the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR). The unstoppable Nadec Strokers demolished Itqan Aces by posting 16 points against 3 to bag the best team award. Nadec's astounding victory against the heavy favorite Itqan Aces came through the awesome performancs of Danny Nabong, Charles Rosauro, Reynald Medina, Atoi Ramos and Ruben Babasa. Nabong pocketed 801 points and he was followed by Rosauro (770), Medina (757), Ramos (752) and Babasa (736). Untiring Sultan Alawi shot 781 points to be at the helm in Itqan Aces while Joe Garrido and Celis Viloria registered separate series of 771 and 703 to come next to Alawi posting the best output. Stephen Solomon and Jau Urbano scored 662 and 620 points respectively. The grueling match against Meron Na! and Almarai Company resulted at 12-7 in favor of Meron Na! Joe Rafale rocked the lanes to topscore in Meron Na! by posting a series of 830 and coming in next were Arnold Salcedo (750), Ruben Tan (711) and Gerry Damiray (709). The duo of Sonny Alviso and Shakur Kamlian contributed 427 and 389 in that order. At the limelight in Almarai Company was the week's best bowler Romy Cabrillas. He fired a four-game series of 838. Cas Encila and Fhel Ramos scored 716 and 645 while Alex Armada and Paul Decena chipped in 598 and 407. One-time Perfect 300 holder Ely Fanugao showed way to lift Alinma to blast Royal Archers-Reloaded, 12-0. Red-hot Fanugao scored a four-game series of 726 while the tandem of hard-hitting Jess Ambon and Bernie Torres supported Fanugao by knocking down a separate series of 594 and 578. Jerry Barce and Ahmed Abdulrahman had separate series of 382 and 375 in two games. Jojo de Silva added 184 in one game outing. Alinma squad is captained by Ahmed Abdulrahman. Topscoring in the Royal Archers-Reloaded was Hani Al-Nasleh with 738 points and he was followed by Fathi Abood Abdulaziz (685), Doy del Moral (674), Fareed “sweet 16” Aquino 659 and team mentor Rodel Molina (656).
