RIYADH: Current league leaders Itqan Aces, mentored by Joe Garrido and managed by Abdulrazzak Bin Abdullah, colored the lanes red to post a perfect 26 points to bag their second Team of the Week award while hard-hitting Jess Ambon claimed the Bowler of the Week award in the 3rd week of the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR) Saturday Bowling League, 10th Conference. The league is sponsored by the Almarai Company and being held at the Universal Bowling Center. Itqan Aces, one of the top contenders for the plum, emerged victorious against the Boiling Points by posting a perfect 26 points against 10. Powering the Itqan Aces' excellent display was scientific Princess Tabago, the star of the show who fired a four-game series of 882 points. Princess received a splendid support from fellow members Stephen Solomon (855), Celis Viloria (847), ace Ernee Noto (827) and youthful Mike Miranda (827). Itqan Aces produced total team handicap of 4,148 points to stay on top as the current holder of the numero uno spot. At the center stage in the Boiling Points team, captained by Butch Mateo, was lefty Arnold Quindara, who scored a four-game series of 840. The next best were Mateo (787), Victor Edan (773) and Sammy San Juan (760). Noel Ordonez and Betsy Costumbrado chipped in an identical series of 370 in two games. Jess Ambon, Best Male Bowler of the Week, lifted Alinma to dismantle Almarai Company, 18-10. Unstoppable Ambon grilled a four-game series of scratch of 935.Ambon carded 213, a game high of 279, 228 and 215. Also at the limelight in Alinma were the one-time Perfect 300 holder Ely Fanugao (788), promising Abdulrahman Ahmed (685) and team mentor Jojo de Silva (616). Bernie Torres shared 572 series in three games while Vincent Agregado and Jerry Barce shared 162 and 157 in one game outing. Fhel Ramos and Jun Daniel led in Almarai Company by posting separate series of 779 and 771, respectively. Following them were Paul Decena (579), Alex Armada (557) and Romy Cabrillas (527). Michael Alarcon submitted 358 series in two games. Three-Time champion Eraserheads wallopped Nadec Strokers, 24-16. Topscoring in Eraserheads team was Benito Sanots with 923 points. He had on lines of 247, 217, 191 and 244. Jojo Gabriel and Bobby Jamora followed Santos by knocking down 838 and 812 while Andro Tismo and Willy Nogoy shared 779 and 784. Atoi Ramos downed 912 points to be on top in Nadec Strokers and he was followed by Jove Marano (868), Reynald Medina (812), Lope Ramirez (754) and Danny Nabong (720). Itqan Eagles proved too strong to humble FBGR Selection, 22-12. Manny Lebrilla excelled to lead in Itqan Eagles by tallying a four-game series of 931. Next best bowlers were Boy Mirando (873), Ruby Urrutia (872), Arnel Garlan (73) and Johnny Pencilla (719). Jett Cabana and Zaldy Torres led in FBGR Selection by posting separate series of 837 and 800. Thong Asuncion came next by scoring 751 points. Willie Ortega, Jerry Austria and Allan dela Rosa registered 564, 425 and 396.
