Attieh Steel defeated ATS, Crown White downed Universal Coil, My Care Hala White won against Otex and My Care Hala Green had the last laugh against Fuchs Hamrani in the quarterfinals of the WPCA Summer Morning League at the Eskan grounds. My Care Hala Green plundered 193-6 against Fuchs Hamrani with Mudasser smashing 5 fours and 5 sixes in his unbeaten 67 in 25 balls. Omar made 32, Azher 31 and Osama 21 not out. While chasing, Fuchs Hamrani was well placed at 55-1 but was reduced to 57-4 by Awais who took 3 wickets in his first over. Later Rashid blasted 41, Irfan made 32 and Mukhtar scored 28 to get to 170-9 in 18 overs. Awais grabbed 3-39. Attieh Steel put up a moderate 155-4 through Kashif (55), Shahid Shoukat (19) and Farid Afridi (19). Imran took 3-38. ATS who was placed at 148-4 required 8 runs from the last over. But Mohammed bowled well to give away just 3 runs and took 2 wickets to restrict ATS to 151-6 to win the match by 4 runs. Imran made 45, veteran Ayaz Jafri 36 and Vivan Kumar 26. Kashif took 2-25 and Mohammed 2-29. My Care Hala White was all out for 168 as Otex bowlers dominated with Asad taking 3-35, Irfan 2-27 and Ajaz 2-35. For Whites Abdul Moeed topscored with 43, Furqan made 28 and Salman 29. In reply, Otex could manage only 163-7. Majid scored 46 and Yahya 20. Sohail took 3-31. Crown White tallied 168-5 through Kashif (56), Ahmed (34) and Sajjad (23). In reply, Universal Coil was restricted to 156-8 as Jawaid, in his first over, took three wickets in a row – in his second, third and the fourth balls to register the only hat trick of the tournament.
