My Care Hala White wins Prince Faisal Morning Cup

JEDDAH: My Care Hala White emerged victorious in the Prince Faisal Morning Cup Final here last Friday when they convincingly thrashed Attieh Steel by 7 wickets. Shahid excelled with the bat.
The tournament, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center, is being played at WPCA.
The quarterfinals will be played here on Friday.
Prince Faisal Morning Cup was the last of the series as earlier it was held in the levels of Premier 40 overs and Afternoon T20 formats last month under the Saudi Cricket Center sponsorship in the SCC cricket development programs in the Kingdom.
Attieh Steel batting first with Moazzam in awesome touch plundered 45 runs in just 3 overs but once the slow bowlers were introduced, the stroke play became difficult as Shahid Shoukat (21) returned and at the tally of 106, prolific Moazzam got out for his 50 off 38 balls as Attieh Steel collapsed for 168 once Kashif departed for 31 after being at one stage 146 for 2 losing 8 wickets in a space of 22 runs. Adil took 3-43, Shamsuddin 2-8, Shahid 2-31 as Furqan and Salman took one wicket each.
My Care Hala White in reply achieved the winning target with 170 for 3 in 13.5 overs as Shahid smashed 76 in 23 balls with 11 fours and 5 sixes and he was well supported by Abdulmoeed who scored an unbeaten 61 in 36 balls to add 115 runs for the second wicket. Kashif, Moazzam and Ali took a wicket each as My care whites emerged Champions.
After the match an Awards Ceremony was held with the SCC and WPCA higher officials gracing the occasion. Moazzam Shoukat getting the Player and the Best Batsman award, Furqan was adjudged as the Best bowler, Adnan of Crown White the Best Wicketkeeper. Shahid was given the Man of the Final award. Winners Trophy went to My Care Hala White while Attieh Steel was the Runners-up.
SUMMER MORNING
In the WPCA Summer Morning, Johnson Control lost to My Care Green after making 144 for 8 as Saeed hit 71 in 38 balls. Usama took 2-32, Awais 2-26 and Salman 2-20.
Greeners were home with 145 for 2 in 85 balls as Akram made 52 not out, Umar remained unbeaten on 44 and Awais made 34.
Al-Mazroi XI went down to Universal Coil by 11 runs when Universal Coil made 169 as Zameer stroked 42. Faizan scalped 3-34, Khaleel Dawood 2-28 and Kifayatullah 2-31.
Al-Mazroi XI was restricted to 158 for 7 in the allotted overs as Kifayatullah scored 46, Salman 27 and Farooq 24. Asghar took 3-31, Yousuf and Aslam with identical figures of 2-32.
Usman Gems Blue went down to ATS after scoring 142 for 6 as Sadiq Memon stroked 25 and Abdulrauf 25 and Syed Ashraf 24. Dr. Bashir grabbed 3-15 and Imran 2-14.
ATS in reply were home with 8 wickets in hand as opener Ayaz made 44, Pervaiz was unbeaten on 46 and Imran 38 not out to get to 147 for 2 in 14 overs.
In the last match of the morning session Otex C.C. plundered 233 for 7 in 18 overs against Mercedes Benz as Irfan batted superbly to notch up an unbeaten 81 in 34 balls as Majid made 32. Usama took 2-26 as Khalid 2-32.
Mercedes Benz could get to 166 only thus losing by 67 runs. __
